Nokia Drop Helps Direct Transfer of Images from Desktop to Nokia phones

Just like Google’s chrome to phone service for android cell phone, Nokia has now launched its new Nokia Drop Service. It’s a beta application that allows its users to send photos and URL’s from the desktop computers to the Symbian series Nokia Phones.

It was published in the Nokia Blog that Nokia Drop Service was made by using the Cross Platform QT framework which not only allows its users to Send Images and URLs but also allows them to change the current wallpaper on their cell phone. A browser extension is required on the desktop and a special client installation is required on the hand set in order to use this cool Nokia Drop. Once installed, you can easily transfer image files and URLs to you cell phone.

Currently Nokia Drop is available for free download and company is also looking forward to feedback from its users. Nokia Drop is compatible with the following Nokia S60 and Symbian^3 handsets. N8-00, C6-01, C7-00, E7-00, X6-00, 5228, 5230, 5235, 5530, C6-00, N97 and N97 mini. So now Nokia users can also experience direct file transfer just like chrome users have been doing with their Android Smartphone.
