Apple iPhone 5 to get 12.6 Megapixel Camera Sensor by OmniVision

OmniVision partner of Apple has recently able to produce a brand new sensor known as OV12825, which might be targeted at the upcoming devices, among those devices Apple new iPhone 5 (rumors around which is coming this fall).

This new camera sensor is having 12.6 Megapixel resolution, and it will be included in the production phase in early June as per source. If you look back at most Smartphone and also the iPhone 4, video was like 15 frames per second, which was quite low. But this new sensor gives you 1080p video at 60 frames per second, because it has enough pixel and performance that can easy control the pixel-shift by image stabilization.

Now it certain that this new OmniVision’s sensor will be implemented to Apple iPhone 5, instead of Sony sensor as it will make its way inside headset.

And more over, I guess this year WDC 2011 will only include the announcement and preview of iOS 5 by Apple not the iPhone 5. Because people in the assembly lines said that there is no order from Apple yet, about the iPhone 5.
