iPhone Dev Team, has just released the latest version of redsn0w, it’s the v0.9.6b6. It is available in public for everyone to download. Well the functions are still the same as the previous 0.9.6x redsn0w version does. This new version of redsn0w 0.9.6b6 enable the user to Jailbreak their iPhone on all iOS devices running on either 4.1 or 4.2.1. Not only Jailbreakinag feature, there are few new featuresas well, one of them is “deactivate”, but this option will only be for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G and for iPhone 4 user sorry fellows you have to wait for a while.
iPhone Dev Team said that this new “deactivate” function is designed in this version with following purpose in mind:
Developer @sbingner (author of TetherMe) has made some excellent progress devising a new hactivation method that kills two birds with one stone for all you ultrasn0w unlockers. His tool, “Subscriber Artificial Module (SAM)” tricks your iPhone and iTunes into creating legitimate activation tickets even though you’re unlocked with ultrasn0w. This means you get the full benefit of push applications, and your battery life increases substantially.
Now this new version of redsn0w 0.9.6b6 allow you to unlock your iPhone with Ultrasn0w by using Cydia, with an option that you can install the SAM (Subscriber Artificial Module), this is also for iPhone 3GS and 3G, result you will be getting an activated iDevice without any restriction on push apps.
Note: For Microsoft Window 7 and Vista users will be running redsn0w 0.9.6b6 in “XP Compatiblity Mode”.
